Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who died while serving in the United States Military. On this day, we remember and celebrate the lives of these heroes. Each of their stories is unique and contributes to the United States' rich history.

In honor of Memorial Day, we would like to showcase the different roles that Jewish women have played in the military over the last 150 years. As nurses, members of the WAAC and WAC, navy seals and marines, airwomen, and chaplains, women fought in battles during the Civil War, World War I and II, Vietnam, Operation Desert Storm and today.

Discover the contributions of Jewish women who have died in service to their country and those Jewish women veterans who live on today to share their stories.

Help expand and uncover U.S. and Jewish women's history, by sharing your own story as a woman in the military or of Jewish women you know who have served in the United States Military.
