Writer, designer, and entrepreneur Ophira Edut is also the founder of HUES (Hear Us Emerging Sisters) magazine.

At the age of nineteen, Ophira Edut helped launch HUES, a magazine that embraced diversity and depicted young women as strong, smart, stylish, and playful. In 1992, Edut launched HUES (Hear Us Emerging Sisters) with her twin sister Tali and their friend Dyann Logwood as a way to portray women of all shapes and sizes and allow them to tell their stories. What began as a college project quickly grew into a national, multicultural women’s magazine. Edut sold HUES in 1997 and went on to become an astrologer with her sister Tali, predicting horoscopes for Teen People. Edut is now COO of Mediarology, a content, media consulting, and design company; editor of Body Outlaws: Young Women Write About Body Image & Identity; and coauthor of several astrology guides with her sister.
