As founder of the consulting firm Galler Group LLC, Susan Galler has helped institutions from public television and radio stations to Planned Parenthood affiliates launch capital campaigns that allow them to grow and take on new challenges. After graduating from Harvard in 1974, Galler worked for the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts and Radcliffe College before joining John Brown Consulting in 1981, where she advised non-profit organizations on planned giving. In 1983 she became director of development at WGBH Boston, one of the nation’s top public television and radio stations. From 1991–1997 she served as senior vice president of development for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, then founded the Galler Group, a consulting firm that provides capital campaign, board governance, and retreat design and facilitation services to healthcare, educational, and cultural institutions. She served as a founding board member of the Jewish Women’s Archive, as well as vice president of the New World School for the Arts Foundation and president of Women in Development of Greater Boston. In 2006, she moved to Miami and added a roster of Miami-based clients, including the new museum ICA Miami. As of 2016, she remains true to her professional roots with a client list that includes many public radio and television stations, as well as Planned Parenthood chapters. She recently expanded her services to include executive coaching for senior executives in non-profit and for-profit organizations.
