Evelyn Adunka

Evelyn Adunka is an independent historian who specializes in Austrian Jewish history, Jewish intellectual history and literature in exile. She lives in Vienna and is a member of the editorial board of the Austrian quarterly Zwischenwelt. Zeitschrift für Kultur des Exils und des Widerstands and a board member of the Österreichische Gesellschaft für Exilforschung. Her book publications include: Die vierte Gemeinde. Die Wiener Juden in der Zeit von 1945 bis heute (2000); Exil in der Heimat. Über die Österreicher in Israel (2002) and Der Raub der Bücher. Plünderung in der NS-Zeit und Restitution nach 1945 (2002). At present she is writing a book on the history of the Vienna Jewish community from 1918 to 1938.
