Dianne Ashton is Professor of Religion and Director of American Studies at Rowan University. She is the author of Rebecca Gratz: Women and Judaism in Antebellum America, Jewish Life in Pennsylvania, and co-editor of Four Centuries of Jewish Women’s Spirituality. Her essays have appeared in many scholarly collections and encyclopedias. She is currently working on a history of Hanukkah in America.
