Dara Barnat

Dara Barnat holds a PhD from Tel Aviv University, where she currently teaches. In the Absence, Dara’s first full-length collection of poetry, was published in 2016. A chapbook, The City I Run From: Poems of Tel Aviv, is her most recent collection. Dara’s research explores Walt Whitman’s influence on Jewish American poetry from the mid-19th-century to-date, with essays in The Walt Whitman Quarterly Review, Shofar, Studies in American Jewish Literature, and elsewhere. darabarnat.com
