Judith E. Doneson (1947–2002) received her B.S. in film from Boston University and her M.A. and Ph.D. in contemporary Jewish history from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She taught at Tel Aviv University, worked on a filmed course for the Institute of Contemporary Jewry at the Hebrew University, and lectured at the Yad Vashem seminar. Doneson was a fellow at the Center for Jewish Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and a visiting professor of history at Washington University. She was the author of The Holocaust in American Film (1987).
