Jennifer A. Glancy

Jennifer A. Glancy is professor of religious studies at Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. She received her B.A. from Swarthmore College and her Ph.D. from Columbia University. She is the author of Slavery in Early Christianity and numerous articles on women and gender in ancient Christianity and Judaism.

Susanna: Apocrypha

Susanna’s story comes from Greek manuscripts of the Book of Daniel and is included in the Christian but not Jewish canon. She was a Babylonian Jewish woman who was falsely accused of adultery by two judges, but was saved by God through Daniel.
