Helen Goodman is assistant professor of art history at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She curated the exhibition “The Art of Rose O’Neill” and wrote the catalogue for it in 1989. Her research interests center on American art at the turn of the twentieth century, particularly women illustrators and photographers. Goodman has won several grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and has contributed articles to a number of journals and reference books. She received her B.A. from the University of Michigan, her M.A. in art history from Wayne State University, and her Ph.D. in art education from New York University.
