Janet Wells Greene is a Ph.D. candidate in American history at New York University. She recently completed a year as a Smithsonian Fellow at the National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C., and is at work on her dissertation, “Camera Wars: Coal Miners and the Politics of Photography in the Truman Era.” Greene is an archivist at the Robert F. Wagner Labor Archives at New York University. Her publications include Volume 1 of From Forge to Fast Food: Child Labor in New York State, From Colonial Times to the Civil War.
