Geraldine Gudefin

Geraldine Gudefin is a modern Jewish historian from France. She holds a BA in History from Sorbonne-Paris IV, an MA in History from Yale, and a PhD in History from Brandeis University. Her research interests include French and American Jewish history; Jewish migration history; gender history; and legal pluralism in comparative perspective.

Among her most important contributions figure her numerous writings about feminism and gender relations, which emphasize the importance of “equality through resemblance,” as well as her historical works on the Enlightenment.
