Goldie Morgentaler

Goldie Morgentaler is associate professor of English at the University of Lethbridge, where she teaches nineteenth-century British and American literature. She is the author of Dickens and Heredity (2000), as well as of essays on Dickens and Victorian literature. She has published numerous translations from Yiddish to English, including several stories by I. L. Peretz. She is the translator of much of Chava Rosenfarb’s work, including The Tree of Life. Her most recent translation is a collection of Rosenfarb’s short stories called Survivors: Seven Short Stories.
