Peggy K. Pearlstein is the area specialist in the Hebraic Section of the Library of Congress. She holds an M.S. in library science from Southern Connecticut State College, an M.A. in Jewish Studies from Baltimore Hebrew University and a Ph.D. in American Studies from George Washington University. She has contributed to The Avotaynu Guide to Jewish Genealogy and American Women: A Library of Congress Guide for the Study of Women’s History and Culture in the United States. She has also written for Judaica Librarianship, Avotaynu: The International Review of Jewish Genealogy and Jewish Political Studies Review.
