Jon Stratton

Jon has published widely in the areas of Cultural Studies, Jewish Studies, Popular Music and on race and multiculturalism. Jon’s most recent books are, coedited with Jon Dale and with Tony Mitchell, An Anthology of Australian Albums: Critical Engagements (New York: Bloomsbury, 2020, and Multiculturalism, Whiteness and Otherness in Australia (New York: Palgrave Macmillan, 2020).

Amy Winehouse was a turn of the twenty-first century Anglo-Jewish performer of popular music. She made two critically acclaimed albums, Frank (2003) and Back to Black (2006), each award-winning and very popular with both critics and listeners. She died tragically at the age of 27.
