Yael Unterman

Yael Unterman holds an M.A. in Jewish history from Touro College and is currently enrolled in the M.A. program in creative writing at Bar-Ilan University. A lecturer, facilitator, author and educational actor, she has taught numerous groups of teenagers and adults in Israel and other countries. She also runs experiential bibliodrama text learning sessions, as well as appearing in her own solo play After Eden: The First Family Conflict.

Nehama Leibowitz

Although Nehama Leibowitz refused to acknowledge that she was a revolutionary in any way, ultimately her unique achievements changed Orthodox society’s perception of a woman’s capabilities and undoubtedly opened doors for the female Torah scholars who followed. Through her teaching, Leibowitz brought numerous people, including non-Jews, to a new conception of Torah study.
