Daniel Walden

Daniel Walden received his B.A. from the City College of New York, his M.A. from Columbia University, and his Ph.D. from New York University. Since 1966, he has taught ethnic literatures and Jewish literature at Pennsylvania State University. Among his books are On Being Jewish, Twentieth-Century American Jewish Fiction Writers and Conversations with Chaim Potok. Walden has written articles on Saul Bellow, Bernard Malamud, Cynthia Ozick and other writers. He has edited Studies in American Jewish Literature since 1975 and is on the editorial boards of The Saul Bellow Journal, the Bernard Malamud Newsletter and MELUS.
