Rabbi Deborah Waxman, Ph.D., is the president of Reconstructing Judaism, the central organization of the Reconstructionist movement, which includes the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. She is a graduate of Columbia College, Columbia University; was ordained by the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College; and received her Ph.D. from Temple University. She has published several academic articles and writes regularly for The Forward, eJewish Philanthropy, The Times of Israel, and other publications.
