Asher Weill

Asher Weill is a publisher and editor. Born in 1936 and and educated in Britain, he immigrated to Israel in 1958 while an editor at Oxford University Press. He founded Israel Universities Press which later became part of Keter Publishing House. Publisher and Managing Director of Weidenfeld and Nicolson Jerusalem, he then founded Edanim Publishers in partnership with the Yediot Aharonot newspaper. Since 1982, he has been editor in chief of Ariel: The Israel Review of Arts and Letters, published in six languages.
