Henrietta Gittelson Blaustein

With her husband, Louis, founder of American Oil company, Henrietta Gittelson Blaustein (1871-1965) was a generous donor to both Jewish and secular causes. Until her death at ninety-four, she led the Louis and Henrietta Blaustein Foundation which under her auspices gave what was then the largest donation ever to a Jewish organization: one million dollars to the Sinai Hospital at the Jewish Medical Center in Baltimore.
