The front cover matter to Henrietta Szold's speech, "A Century of Jewish Thought." The speech was delivered to the Baltimore chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women in 1896. This was the first speech in which Szold advocated Zionism, and was delivered a month before the publication of Theodor Herzl's Jewish State.
