Hannah Greenebaum Solomon

"Woman's sphere is the whole wide world, without limit," said Hannah Greenebaum Solomon, who demonstrated that statement by founding and serving as the first president of the National Council of Jewish Women. At the same time, as one of the premier civic leaders of Chicago, she empahsized the responsibilities of women in the home.
