Judith Rosenbaum, CEO of the Jewish Women's Archive, talks with Rabbi Sharon Brous about The Amen Effect: Ancient Wisdom to Mend Our Broken Hearts and World. March 14, 2024.
Dear Rabbi Sharon, I can’t put your book down. My daughter gave it to me for my birthday. Your insight is remarkable and I love your genuine brilliance combined with your love for community. Thank you for loving my girls. Always Love and prayers for you and community. Sincerely, Sally Teplow
I was raised in a Universalist country church in Mississippi, now Unitarian Universalist. I have always felt a strong affinity to Judaism. I was thrilled to be able to take part twice in JWA. Rabbi Brous gives me hope that we can learn to listen to each other. I love the subtitle of a book by Susan Cain—Silence: Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking. It seems we’ve lost the art of really listening to one another. I look forward to more inspiration.
