Janna Bernstein, M.Ed., Ph.D., is a scholar practitioner, having dual roles at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) as both administrative faculty and adjunct academic faculty. Her research utilizes racial formation theory and intersectional analysis to investigate the lived experiences of Jewish women professionals in higher education. She received her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Cultural Studies, International Education, and Multicultural Education from UNLV and a proud double alumna of the University of Southern California (USC). Through a partnership between the University of Southern California and Hebrew Union College- Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) in Los Angeles, CA, Dr. Bernstein was also humbled to be the first USC student to be conferred with a HUC-JIR Judaic Studies degree.
