Born 1975 in London to a Bahraini Jewish family, Nancy Khedouri is a politician, businesswoman, and writer. On December 14, 2010, she became a representative in Bahrain’s National Assembly, succeeding her first cousin Houda Nonoo (former Bahraini ambassador to the United States) and making her the second Jewish woman to serve in the National Assembly.

Khedouri's family is third-generation Bahraini, originally from Iraq. Her grandfather came to Bahrain from Baghdad in the 1930s, seeking a better quality of life. The Khedouris were a well-known Iraqi Jewish merchant family, and in Bahrain the family business continued, trading textiles, carpets, and garden furniture. At the time, Bahrain was an international hub of commerce known to embrace religious and cultural diversity. Today, about 40 Jews live in in the country; most immigrated from Iraq and speak a Moslawi dialect (the dialect of Mosul) at home.

Nancy Khedouri studied at the Sacred Heart School in Isa Town, Bahrain, a Roman Catholic school where she followed a British curriculum. She then moved to the United Kingdom to study Economics, British Literature, and History, earning her degree from the Mount School in 1993. Khedouri remained in the UK for a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of London and the University of Wolverhampton. In 2007, she published a book documenting the history of Bahraini Jewry from the first settlers in the late 1880s until today, titled From Our Beginning to Present Day

Before entering politics, Khedouri worked as the administrative director of the Yosef Khedouri and Sons Company. In the National Assembly, she has been head of foreign affairs and security. In her political role, she has been interested in aiding women's needs and was appointed a member of the Coordination Committee of The Supreme Council for Women. She has also worked to smoothen relationships with Israel by appearing publicly with political figures such as Yisrael Katz, the Israeli minister of foreign affairs. In 2017, she represented her country at the World Jewish Congress.
