Allison Abrams recently graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in Judaic studies. Allison grew up in Queens, NY, and attended LaGuardia High School for the Arts where she studied voice. These days, when she's not babysitting, she studies Yiddish and volunteers at Northside Mutual Aid, a food pantry in Binghamton, NY, run by and for the local community. As the president of the newly established racial justice committee at her childhood synagogue in Forest Hills, she is also working to implement anti-racism education and infrastructure within her community. Allison was the oral history intern for the Jewish Women's Archive several summers ago, but always makes her way back somehow, occasionally writing for the blog and staying in touch with her friends at JWA.
