Catherine Bell

Catherine Bell is the Managing Director of National Programs at Hazon. She oversees the organization's programs for developing leadership and building the field of Jewish Outdoor, Food, Farming, and Environmental Education (JOFEE). She manages the incredible team that leads Hazon’s work with rabbis, the JOFEE Fellowship and JOFEE Network Gathering, the Hazon Seal of Sustainability, and Hazon’s work in Detroit. She brings to this role two decades of experience organizing, educating, and driving programmatic growth in a Jewish social justice context. Prior to joining Hazon, she was the Chief Program Officer at Keshet, and before that served as the Director of the Jewish Organizing Fellowship at JOIN for Justice. Catherine holds a BA from Amherst College and an MA in Sociology of Education from New York University. She lives in Dorchester, MA with her spouse and two young children.
