After a career in international human rights, Dr. Debra L. Schultz teaches civil rights and women’s history at Brooklyn’s only community college in the neighborhood where she was born. She is the author of Going South: Jewish Women in the Civil Rights Movement (NYU Press) and is currently researching public memory of the civil rights movement.
