Ariela Basson is a senior at Needham High School in Needham, MA. She is passionate about journalism, Judaism, feminism, and fashion. She writes for her school's newspaper, is a member of her school’s very first feminist club, Girls Achieving Leadership and Service, and is a vice president of her temple's youth group board. Ariela aspires to someday incorporate her feminist principles and love for writing into a career in the fashion industry.

Rana Bickel is a coffee-addicted senior at the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School, a pluralistic school in Silver Spring, Maryland. Her senior jersey says Rana The Riveter. When she isn't busy procrastinating, Rana enjoys acting, reading, keeping up with the news, learning Talmud, and writing. When she grows up, Rana wants to be a Maharat and go into social justice.

Gabrielle Cantor is a senior at Cherry Creek High School, south of Denver, Colorado. At school she serves as the Editor in Chief of the yearbook, is a member of the marching band and is a 4th year member of the speech and debate team. She is also a National Honor Society member and part of the Big Sisters Service organization. Outside of school she is a Girl Scout, Religious School Madriecha, a YouthRoots YouthBoard member and she actively participates in her synagogue and community. Gabrielle is thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in Rising Voices this year.

Elisabeth Eigerman is a junior at Cambridge School of Weston in Weston, MA, and lives in Chestnut Hill, MA. When she's not writing Harry Potter fan fiction, she's researching obscure historical topics or reading mildly disappointing young adult novels. Elisabeth enjoys reading law codes and serves on her school's handbook board.

Hani Fish-Bieler is from Sharon, Massachusetts, and is a junior at SAR High School in Riverdale, New York. She loves studying history and Hebrew, and is an active participant in her school’s Drama Society. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, and commuting. Hani is incredibly excited to be a part of the Rising Voices Fellowship this year.

Maya Franks is a junior at Spanish River High School in Delray Beach, Florida. Maya grew up in California but fairly recently uprooted to Florida. She very much enjoys cooking and baking, politics, and writing. She is currently involved in the entrepreneurship program at her school and hopes to go into international business or journalism one day.

Eliana Gayle-Schneider is a junior at the Abraham Joshua Heschel High School in New York City, with a love of all things literary and musical. Her passion for writing includes poetry as well as playwriting, creating her own dramatic scripts, and working with budding young writers. Eliana sings with the Heschel Harmonizers, a leading Jewish high school a cappella group, and performs in school plays. She has also been a member of a Jewish-Dominican teen production exploring issues of discrimination and identity. Eliana is an activist at heart, and looks forward to adding her own voice to the Rising Voices Blog.

Noam Green is from Teaneck, New Jersey, a diverse suburb of New York City. She is currently a senior at Teaneck High School. Noam is passionate about social activism, food justice, and feminism. She loves to cook food for her friends, make zines, read, and be outside. She hopes this Fellowship will help her integrate intersectionality into her Jewish practice and identity.

Sarah Groustra is a sophomore at Brookline High School in Brookline, Massachusetts. She loves writing, and in her free time enjoys dancing, classic literature, and playing the ukulele.

Delaney Hoffman is a senior at San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, California.

Caroline Kubzansky is a junior at the Edmund Burke School in Washington, D.C. Her main interests are her school newspaper, running cross-country, reading history books, and walking in the woods. She would live in Vermont year round if she could, and can usually be found writing in her favorite notebook.

Abby Richmond is a sophomore at Newton North High School in Newton, Massachusetts. Abby has self-published four books of fiction that she sells to raise money for different non-profit organizations, and has raised over $6,000 in total.
