Aliza Abusch-Magder is a Sophomore at The Weber School, in Atlanta, Georgia, where she lives. She is passionate about writing, feminism, Jewish prayer and singing. Some of the things in life that bring her joy are sunsets, stickers, ice cream and stars. You can often find her at the gym, summer camp or meeting with some of her beloved teachers!

Emma Bauchner is a senior at Hunter College High School in New York City. Emma plays piano and sings in two choirs, and loves all things related to music. When she’s not sleeping or procrastinating, Emma also enjoys reading obscure feminist blogs, going to art museums, learning about history, and attempting to play guitar.

Sarah Biskowitz is a senior at Whitefish Bay High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she enthusiastically participates in Mock Trial, Origami Service Club, and Cross Country, and works as a babysitter. Besides reading and writing, Sarah enjoys having brunch, discussing TV shows and podcasts, and visiting art museums.

Abigail Fisher is a sophomore at the Abraham Joshua Heschel High School. She is passionate about journalism, poetry, and social justice. She writes for the school newspaper, and participates in the poetry club, debate team, and the women's empowerment club (GirlUp). In her free time she enjoys being in musicals at the Riverdale Y with the Riverdale Rising Stars.

Hannah Himmelgreen is a junior at Brooks Debartolo Collegiate High School in Tampa, Florida. When she does not have her head in a book, she is snapping photographs, singing with her school choir, and serving as a programming Vice President on her youth group board. Hannah loves writing, coffee, the Harry Potter series, and her Colombian and Jewish heritage. She has a passion for social justice and feminism and is beyond excited to be a part of the Rising Voices Fellowship this year.

Maya Jodidio is a senior at East Brunswick High School in New Jersey. When she is not working on biology research, she spends her time reading news articles, learning about waves of feminism, and working with youth in Socialist Zionist movements such as Habonim Dror and Hashomer Hatzair. She loves educating everyone around her about the need for social justice in the world. In the future, she hopes to use her ideals as a feminist in her career as a bioengineer or a doctor.

Tess Kelly is a sophomore at Orange High School near Cleveland, Ohio who is thrilled to be part of Rising Voices this year. She writes short stories and poetry, which she performs at open mic nights around the city. Aside from a strong passion for the written word, Tess loves rock music, politics, and her close-knit temple in the small Jewish community of Elyria, Ohio. She participates in Lake Erie Ink, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing love of writing to underprivileged youth in Cleveland.

Isabel Kirsch is a junior at Georgetown Day School in Washington, DC, and lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland. When she’s not reading, she can be found running cross-country, registering voters, doing crossword puzzles, or participating in Model UN. Isabel is a member of her school’s feminist affinity group and hopes to bring her passion for feminism to a career in international relations or politics.

Lili Klayman is a junior at Mansfield High School in Mansfield, MA. She is enrolled in two Sunday programs, Prozdor and Gateways, which she enjoys a lot. Along with writing, Lili enjoys listening to music, running, and being with her friends. She is so happy to have the opportunity of being a part of the Rising Voices Fellowship.

Diana Myers is a senior at J.R. Masterman High School in Philadelphia, PA. She serves as editor-in-chief of both the school newspaper and the school literary magazine. When not running around trying to get the latest issues out, she can be found volunteering at her Hebrew school, working out at the gym, or reading in a corner. Diana hopes to major in history and/or literature, because all she really wants out of life is to get paid for loitering in libraries.

Eden Olsberg is a senior at Gann Academy, a pluralistic Jewish high school in Waltham, Massachusetts. At school, she is involved in Model UN, Israel advocacy, and peer mentoring. Outside of the classroom, Eden enjoys reading, cuddling with her dog, and keeping up with the news, as well as with the Kardashians. She is bubbling with excitement to be a part of the Rising Voices Fellowship this year.

Molly Pifko is a junior at Lynnfield High School. When she's not in her room doing homework, blasting show tunes, or reading, she can usually be found at the Peabody ice rink, playing hockey with her fellow Tanners. In the mornings she is often playing flute, guitar or trombone in the band room or practicing cross-examinations for mock trial. Molly is a proud owner of three chickens and a member of Appleton farms CSA. She hopes to one day incorporate her passion for animals, food justice, and the environment into a career in biology or environmental studies.
