Education for Social Change: Teaching Young Jewish Leaders

Tali Puterman, 2017 Twersky Award Winner

JWA is thrilled to partner with Tali Puterman, winner of the 2017 Natalia Twersky Educator Award, to present themes and teaching methods from her winning lesson, "Henrietta Szold: Learning from the Past to Shape Our Future." By exploring ideas of power, resistance, identity, and storytelling, Tali engages participants in a discussion about making the classroom a space where otherness is embraced, and where students see themselves as leaders, and as agents of change.
